For People Wanting to Invest (Angels Investors)

Introduction

There are many shapes, sizes, styles, and structures for angel groups. TAN is based on the model where the entity TAN is a not for profit organization and only helps companies/entrepreneurs in preparing their pitch and then introduce them to angels (high net worth or accredited investors). An important point that separates angel groups from other investment vehicles is that the angels’ invest their own capital and are actively involved in the process. In contrast, venture capital funds, broker dealers and investment bankers typically manage a fund and invest other people’s money. They also operate on a passive investor model, where the investors are not actively involved in the investment decision-making process; it is the people who are managing the fund make the investment decisions.

Tech Angel Network (TAN) facilitates the introduction of entrepreneurs to angels through presentations and other mechanisms. Angels to whom TAN would introduce the companies that it is helping would be people of high net worth individual having the highest level of integrity and repute.
